My son is officially 15 today. I really don’t feel old enough to have a kid that can almost drive. He is definitely in that transition period though. Some days he acts so old, and others acts like a little child. Like this morning fighting with his sister. Sometimes I just don’t know what to do with those two.

Today was one of those days where you work like a madman on multiple projects, but you still feel like you get nothing done. I am in the middle of trying to update my Magento install. What a nightmare. It took half a day for me to be able to access the test database correctly. It’s going to take me a week to run through all of these updates before I can even think of moving the info over to the live site. I wish they would make it a little easier to update this software, but that’s life I guess.

I’m also trying to get ready for an outdoor sale. So I need to update our paper catalogs in case people want to take one home with them. I run though it, add all the new products and save it over. Send it off to be printed by Staples. Then I go to work on updating our Square account with the new products and I realize that I forgot to switch an image out in the catalog. It’s too late now though, it’s already been printed up. So I’ll have 100 catalogs with the wrong picture on one of the products. Hey, I ain’t perfect.

This evening Jayden had his end of the year orchestra banquet and awards ceremony. We were supposed to bring a main dish to this thing. Being the lazy fucker I am (i.e. really god damn busy) I decided to just buy a bucket of chicken from KFC. Seemed like a wise choice in the end. Other people brought pizza, pasta and other odd combinations. We decided to refrain from eating. I don’t really like having tons of people hovering over the food I’m about to eat anyway.

The ceremony itself seemed to drag on forever. I didn’t think we were ever getting out of there. When Jayden was going up to get his certificate one of his friends shouted out that it was his birthday. So the whole room sang him Happy Birthday. I swear, his face turned the same shade of red as his hair.

Happy Birthday Jayden. Time is flying by so fast. It doesn’t seem that long ago that we were finishing up kindergarten, and now you’re almost done with your freshman year. Work hard and you’ll get to do whatever you want in the future. I love you bud.
